DUFOUR'S CONSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Dufour’s accepts most late model RV’s for consignment resale. Acceptance is based on the condition and marketability of a given unit.  On average, it takes 60 days to liquidate a trailer or motorhome.

We do not charge a “flat amount” or percentage, but retain, as our fee, any proceeds in excess of the consignor “authorized amount”. The consignor “authorized amount” is the amount paid to you when the transaction is complete and the unit delivered to the purchaser. This amount is agreed on prior to consignment.

So, why consign when you can sell it yourself?

Most of us are too busy to deal with marketing a used RV not to mention answering evening ad calls and enduring home visits by strangers only to be told time and again “I have to sell my unit first” or “I’ll need to finance this purchase” (we can arrange financing for these prospects and dispose of their current units which gives us a big advantage) You can also market on the internet but then you become a target for millions of buyers, schemers, con men and scam artists.

Evidence of a valid title is required at time of acceptance. 

All personal items must be removed and it must be clean.

You may, at your option, retain possession of the title until such time as it is required to complete the transaction.

Subject liens will be settled by the consignee (Dufours) with the proceeds of the sale prior to distribution of any remaining funds to the consignor.  Should any lien amount exceed the proceeds consignor will be required to submit that difference prior.
